The Maize
This is a short RPGMaker game made for My First Game Jam: Winter 2023.
Eric and his friends had always dreamed of living in the Upper City. In order to achieve that dream, they need to pass the Test: grow a Maize and harvest it in 7 Days.
Control:
Arrow Keys - Movement
Enter, Z - Ok
Esc, X - Cancel
Shift - Text Log
Shift (outside of dialogue)- Run (I recommend turning 'Always Dash' ON in Options)
TAB - Fast Forward Text
F4 - Fullscreen

Are you planning to make more games to this universe? It's really cool core for some game series about this world
I do have some ideas for more stories, like a continuation of the first ending. But right now I'm prioritizing several other game ideas (I'm working on some short story and a long one,) so there's no plan for it in the foreseeable future. Also thanks for playing the game!
Really loved this, the world it takes place in is so interesting I'd love to know more, I replayed to get every ending it was so interesting! Also love the characters, the friends all seem very natural with each other.

This is such an underrated gem!
I saw last update was 45 days ago so I'm not sure you'll be reading this, but I wanted you to know that I loved the Maize! The storytelling was just the right pace and I loved the characters (VIC T^T), but the best thing for me was the illustration right before the four endings. Keep up the good work!
