[Devlog #1] About the Game

Hello, everyone. This is M. I’m an indonesian hobby artist. I’ve always wanted to make games, but never really took the time to commit to it. This will be my first game jam and my first time making a game.

The game I’m working on is titled The Maize (tentative name…) It’s about a group of students who is trying to figure out how to grow a mysterious plant. I’m doing all the art, sprites, and writing myself. The writing part is especially rough because english isn’t my first language.

Unfortunately the jam started right when i was still on my exam period. I started working on the game 8 days before the time limit. I wanted to make a short game, but the scope of it kinda expanded somewhere along the way… The game will need some more time to be finished. Please look forward to it!
